BE HUMBLE OR BE HUMBLED

WISDOM NUGGET 1: HUMILITY WINS EVERY TIME.

No matter where God takes you or how successful you become in business, ministry, marriage, etc., I have 2 words for you "STAY HUMBLE."

Always remember that is was not by your ability, your charisma, your college degree, your good looks, how great of a leader you are, how much money you have in the bank, how well you can preach, how expensive your assets are or anything that caused God to choose you. It was when you were small in your own eyes that God chose you and made you great. Walk softly when God starts elevating you. Your heart position in the season of elevation determines how much more God can trust you with.

One recipe for failure is having a haughty spirit and taking the credit for what God has done.

Great men and women of God have been brought down to nothing because of the Spirit of Pride. They had confidence in their own strength, abilities, talents, gifts, connections, influence, biblical knowledge, and anointings rather than total reliance on and appreciation for the Spirit of God. David said it best in Psalms 20. Some trust in chariots and some in horses (their strengths, entourage, personal influence or connections to people in high places, etc.) but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. So tell us, David, what happens to the people who trust in these chariots and horses? Psalms 20: 8 They are brought down and fallen but we (the ones who remember it was God) are RISEN and stand upright.

Moral of the Story: God loves humility and wants recognition in everything we do. With every success whether it's in ministry, marriage, finance, or business, I'm learning to say "To God be all of the glory, honor, recognition, credit, and royalties. It is God's doing and it is just marvelous in my sight. But it is "God's Doing." #BeHumbleOrBeHumbled
